Bruno and I have had the privilege of celebrating three birthdays with Ronisson, it has been such an honor to watch him mature and grow into the young man he is today. Ronisson is such a joy to be around, full of life, lots of fun, and he has a unique laugh that is sure to put a smile on your face. It is hard to believe he is 17! This means soon he will be moving out of the house we take care of and into the "Republica", the house where he will learn to be independent, cooking for himself, washing his own clothes, and maintaining a steady job, before he actually faces the real world.
Ronisson comes from a broken family, with an alcoholic mother. He was taken away from his mother and sent here because of his age, but his younger brothers and sisters were taken to another home. Thankfully he is able to spend time with his brothers and sisters at the other home on the weekends and holidays. It is a blessing for us to see his joy in the middle of all the difficulties he has come from.
The joy on his face is priceless, makes it all worth it!!
Please pray with us for Ronisson, that the Lord would continue to give him joy and strength in this new season of his life and the decisions that he will make.
