Easter this year held many surprises, a special breakfast with many options and tons of fruit to choose from. A special word from Pai Social Anderson, he used to be a clown, so he had a couple tricks up his sleeve. A big chocolate egg for each of the boys from their sponsors and a candy hunt at the end of the day with candy hidden all over the Mountain. Oh, and lots of pictures! I think it's fair to say the boys had a great day!! This week was Amos's birthday, and it was so special to be able to be a part of it! It was his first birthday here at the Mountain. He is Josue's brother, and has special needs. He is unable to speak and needs help with most all of his basic needs. But the joy on his face at his party spoke louder then any words could have. He was so happy! Happy 13th Birthday Amos! We hope this day was so special and you know how loved you are. We know that God has great plans for your life and this is just the beginning. We pray that God would work a miracle in your life, and allow you to speak. We are so thankful for your joy for life and the love you show through your smile. We pray many blessings over your life this year and the years to come. We are so glad we are a part of your journey!!

This last Saturday we had a special Christmas party for the boys. We invited people from churches, community members, judges and long time supporters of Hope Mountain to sponsor each one of the boys. There were introductions, special presentations of the orchestra and choir and each boy received a gift from their sponsor along with a photo with Santa Claus! Then after we had a special lunch in the cafeteria along with dessert, which was a special treat. It was such a blessing to see how happy the boys were and how they interacted with their sponsors. I know each of them truly felt special. It was a fantastic day!! We were able to celebrate Roger and Jhontan's special day, it was such a blessing to be able to celebrate how far they have come, and all God is doing in their lives. They have both grown up so much since they have been here. Roger is so musically talented and so smart, and I know God has great plans for his life. Jhonatan does so well with people, very outgoing and very talented with dance, I know God will use him for great things. We pray that God will continue to mold and shape them into the men of God he wants them to be. We are honored to be a part of their lives and their growth! It was such an honor for us to spend this special day with them. Please join us in praying for Roger and Jhontan this week, that God would do a deep work of healing in their lives and show them how deep his love for them really is. That they would continue to succeed and do well in school. That he would open opportunities for their futures. We pray many blessings over their lives as they walk out the plans God has for them!
Kid's day this year was extra special, people from the community and churches that have visited had the opportunity to sponsor one of the boys. They were given a gift, which was a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of socks, a towel and a toy. We had a special program for them in the auditorium, with introductions, a special dance, a song from the orchestra and then presents and pictures at the photo booth. I was given the opportunity to take the pictures this year, it was such an honor, as taking pictures is really something I enjoy and hope to get better at. Then after we had a special lunch in the cafeteria, which included ice cream and chocolate cake for dessert! It was quite the day, one I'm sure the boys won't soon forget!! Camp was three days full of activities, everyday the boys had relay races with their teams, starting with a devotional and time of reflection, the more strenuous activities in the afternoon, and then service at night. After dinner and service was bible and indoor relay races. Each night there was a theme with a catwalk, first night was "ridiculous night", second night "bible character" and third night was "super hero twins". Each team was judged according to how well your character played the part! It was lots of fun! Hope you enjoy the pictures!! (I apologize for being so behind in updating the blog, we have had a lot going on lately). The beginning of July we had a special party for Josue, Lucas and Valdiney, who all share the same birthday! It was so much fun to watch them really enjoy themselves, to see the joy on their faces! Josue certainly had a good time, he couldn't stop smiling and was loving all of the attention. We even had a dance party, he was the star of the show of course, told everyone to get on their feet while he put on the show!! :) Here is Josue Busting a move!!We are so thankful to have been a part of this special day, to celebrate each one of their lives. We pray that God would bless each one of them this new year, as they each have a different journey. That He would lead and guide them and give them wisdom as they go to school and work. That He would show them how much He loves each one of these boys!!
Happy Birthday Valdiney, Lucas and Josue! We are so proud of you!! We recently had the pleasure of celebrating Reginaldo's 17th birthday. For Bruno and I, it was such an honor to be able to be a part of another birthday with Reginaldo. He has been a true blessing in our lives, he is so respectful, helpful, caring and has such a serving heart. It was a joy for us to bless him with a party and cake, just to show him how special he is. It is amazing to watch as these years have gone by how much God is doing in Reginaldo's life. We know he has big things planned for him! Happy Birthday Reginaldo! We are so glad we got to be a part of your special day! We hope you know what an incredible young man you are, and how honored we are to be a part of your life. Please join us in praying for Reginaldo this week, that God would continue to mold him into the man of God he is, and that his holy spirit would lead and guide him in all he does. That he would continue to excel in school, and that God would continue to open the doors for his future with many more opportunities. That Reginaldo would know how deep our Father's love is for him, and that God would give him his wisdom and guidance in all that he does.

This week Josue turned 15! It was so much fun to celebrate with him and all the boys from house 2. This party truly was special, and it was such an honor for me to make his cake and plan his party, since it was his very first birthday party! We have seen Josue grow a lot and turn things around in his time being here, he really has shown that he wants something different for his future. We are so glad to be able to be a part of that, and watch him grow. We all did have a really good time at Josue's birthday party. It was such an honor to see the joy on his face and how special he felt! It was all so worth it! Please pray with us for Josue this week, that God would continue to heal the hurts from Josue's past, and show him the plans he has for his future. That as he knocks on the door of his heart, Josue would hear his still small voice and open the door for him to come in and be a part of his life. We are excited to see all God is going to do through Josue's life, and the journey for his future! Happy Birthday Josue, may you know how special you really are!!

Yesterday we had a surprise 18th birthday party for Ronisson, we set everything up while he was at school. And he really was surprised! It was so fun to see the look on his face! It is hard to believe he is 18 already, and will be leaving us very soon. We are so proud of how far he has come and we know God has great things in store for him! It was such an honor to be able to celebrate Ronisson's 18th birthday and surprise him! It's been such a blessing to be a part of his life for these years that we have been here. We are excited to see all that God is going to do in his life, and through him. Please pray with us for Ronission, that the holy spirit would lead and guide him in the future decisions that he makes, that God would place godly people in his life, to help him make those decisions. That he would know how great our heavenly Father loves him. That he would continue with his studies and finish them, also that he would be able to find a job that he really enjoys. Also that the Father's grace would be upon wherever he goes. Happy Birthday Ronisson!!
